Halloween Crafts for Kids

Halloween crafts for kids are an excellent way to spend an afternoon with your kids and prepare ready for one of their favorite holidays of the year. With your help, the kids can make fun decorations for your home or classroom with only a few supplies, such as paper plates, white streamers, tissues, yarn, construction paper, pumpkins, paints and markers. Give these Halloween crafts a try for hours of fun with your kids.
Ghosty treats
With a package of lollipops, tissues, yarn and markers, your children can make adorably spooky little ghost treats. Take a wrapped lollipop, and drape a tissue over it with the ball of the lollipop centered in the tissue. Pull the tissue close to the neck of the lollipop with a short piece of yarn, and tie it in place so bottom billows. Use the markers to draw a face on the little ghost, and your small spook is complete.
Spooky plates
Spooky plates require imagination, paper plates, glue or tape, white streamers and construction paper. These plates are made into Jack-o-lanterns, witches, ghosts and more. Add a construction paper stem to the plate to create a pumpkin, and turn it into a jack-o-lantern. With a witches hat and warty nose cut from construction paper, the paper plate turns into a wicked Halloween witch. Let your kids add ears to create a black cat; dangle white streamers below, and draw a face to create a spooky ghost. You can use markers to add colors and features to your kids' Halloween creations, and complete the look of their spooks.
Jack-o-lanterns
With just pumpkins and paints, your children can make their own jack-o-lanterns that leave the pumpkin in tact, making it reusable for pumpkin pies. With fingers or a paint brush, you can add spooky features, giving pumpkins individual personalities and spooky faces.
Halloween crafts do not have to prove intricate to create fun activities. Your children are sure to love creating their own Halloween decorations and bringing the holiday to life in your home or classroom. Gather the simple supplies and your imaginative kids, and let them have a spooky good time.
